Priorities: meeting the needs of customers, providing high-quality service and support, and developing new products.

Bristol Compressors International, Inc., Bristol, VA, a leading global producer of compressors for use in air conditioning, heat pump and refrigeration systems, announces two new appointments within its top management team.

Joel Moseley has been promoted to senior vice president of global sales and marketing, and Dustin Steward has been named senior business development manager.

As senior vice president, Moseley will work closely with the CEO in developing and implementing programs to support corporate objectives, as well as directing all sales, marketing and after-marketing activities. He will continue his extensive involvement in all aspects of Bristol Compressors’ operations, including cost reduction, cost containment, quality improvement, capital expenditures, research and development, and human resource management.

As senior business development manager, Steward will work with existing OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) and develop new business opportunities across North America.

“Both Joel and Dustin bring impressive skills to our leadership group,” says Ed Gniewek, CEO of Bristol Compressors. “Their combined experience and expertise will be crucial in moving our company forward, expanding our product line and maintaining our position as one of the world’s premier manufacturers in the industry.”

Moseley joined Bristol Compressors in 1993 and served in business development and supply chain management before being named vice president of sales in 2000. His prior experience includes Knapheide Manufacturing in Quincy, Ill., and the Ice Craft Division of Taylor Company in Rockton, Ill. He holds an M.B.A. from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and a B.S. in industrial technology from Western Illinois University in Macomb. In addition, Moseley studied business marketing strategy at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill.

“I'm excited about the opportunities that lie ahead for Bristol Compressors,” Moseley says. “In an ever-changing market, our priorities will continue to focus on meeting the needs of our customers, providing high-quality service and support, and on developing new products.”

Steward joins Bristol Compressors with a background in business ownership and sales. As owner of the Sears store in Abingdon, Va., he has guided the business to Premier Dealer status by consistently scoring in the top tier of business metrics measured by Sears Holdings Corporation. Following nine years of service in the U.S. Marine Corps, including three years as an officer, Steward opened a small consumer finance business in Bristol, Tenn. Under his direction, the company grew from a single local office to a regional firm serving five states. Steward holds an M.B.A. from King College in Bristol, Tenn., and a B.S. in economics from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth.

“Bristol Compressors is positioned to significantly impact the future of the global HVAC market,” Steward says. “I look forward to working toward that goal as part of this high-performing sales and marketing team.”
