Envision™ NXW Series from WaterFurnace Now Available in 8- to 20-ton Sizes

The Envision™ NXW series of reversible chillers from WaterFurnace International, Inc., are designed to perform to the highest standards in the industry, sources say. These water-to-water heat pumps provide water heating and cooling for a wide range of applications, including pools, commercial aquariums, radiant floor heating, ice melt, chilled water applications and industrial process water. They also provide precisely heated or cooled water for fan coils and can replace low-efficiency water-cooled chillers and electric boilers.

Units in the NXW series feature quiet dual scroll compressors with phase guard protection, to prevent reverse rotation of the compressors. A sophisticated microprocessor control, with robust safety controls and advanced freeze detection, sequences all components and functions to achieve maximum performance. The control also enables easy connection to a building automation system with N2 Open, BACnet, or LonWorks protocols.

The compact footprint of the NXW Series makes it easy to fit through most doors. All unit frames are constructed of heavy gauge steel channel and include fork truck access pockets in two dimensions, and lifting points for easy maneuvering during installation and servicing.

The unit's brazed plate heat exchangers are constructed with 316 stainless steel for longevity. R-410A refrigerant ensures environmentally-friendly operation, while a compressor blanket and an optional insulated sheet metal cabinet ensure quiet operation. In addition, the unit's fast response lessens system changeover time on two-pipe fan-coil systems.
