    Emerson Hints at Sale of Motors Business

    Sources from Emerson said during an earnings conference call that it may decide to sell its commercial appliance, commercial, and industrial motors businesses.

    The St. Louis Business Journal has reported that Emerson will likely sell its appliance motors and U.S. commercial and industrial motors businesses. The news was announced during a third quarter earnings report conference call. A decision will be made later this month. Possible candidates Sales in Emerson's entire appliance, tools and motors division grew 10%, to $850 million in the third quarter.
