    The board of directors for Maxitrol Company, Southfield, MI has announced restructuring plans for the 56 year old company. Bonnie Kern-Koskela has been appointed chairman of the board and CEO. Her responsibilities include overall corporate policies, financial management and day-to-day supervision of all departments. Frank Kern III will continue as president and chief technology officer of the company. He will supervise all manufacturing and product engineering. Larry C. Koskela was named executive vice president and COO. Mr. Koskela is responsible for sales, marketing and the commercial development of new products. “These changes have been made to address the needs of Maxitrol Company in today’s competitive business environment,” states Kern-Koskela. “We will be better able to focus our resources to areas of opportunity and assure Maxitrol’s continued success. Further changes will be made to streamline each individual department and improve their efficiency.” Kern-Koskela will remain senior vice president of affiliate Mertik Maxitrol GmbH & Co. KG, located in Thale, Germany. n addition, Mr. Larry C. Koskela will continue as president of Mertik Maxitrol GmbH & Co. KG, responsible for the international operations of the company.
