THIS MONTH IN CB HISTORY...

1976: In this issue, we reported that John W. Norris, Sr., former president/CEO of Lennox Industries, became the first person named to the Iowa Business Hall of Fame. Norris'’ leadership of Lennox began in 1949, with the death of Lennox founder, D.W. Norris. John Norris' contributions continued, with major milestones that went on to change the concepts and structure of the HVAC industry. Under his leadership, Lennox entered the residential air conditioning market. In the 1930s, Norris led the Lennox educational program, which taught dealers about the new art of forced warm air heating.
