    The Mechanical Service Contractors of America (MSCA) announced a new slate of officers for its Board of Managers, headed by new Chairman Russ Borst (Hurst Industries, Belmont, MI). Other new officers include Vice Chair Jeff McCoy (Mechanical, Inc., Freeport, IL) and Treasurer Dave Bavisotto (Illingworth Corporation/An EMCOR Company, Milwaukee, WI). The new officers were introduced at MSCA’s 22nd Annual Educational Conference, which was held on October 14*17 at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, CO.
    MSCA also announced the appointment of Mike Belcher (P1 Group, Lenexa, KS) and Robert Lake (Mesa Energy/EMCOR, Irvine, CA) to its nine-member Board of Managers. Belcher also serves on MSCA’s Labor Relations Committee, while Lake is a member of MSCA’s Marketing/ Membership Committee. Board of Managers’ members serve three-year terms and are selected by an MSCA Nominating Committee that looks for dedicated and committed MSCA leaders.
    Borst, whose term as MSCA Board of Managers’ Chairman will last one year, is vice president of the service department at Hurst Mechanical in Belmont, MI, and president of Quad City Mechanical, a plumbing contractor in Belmont, MI.
    Appointed to the MSCA Board of Managers in 2005, Borst is active in the association on both the national and local levels. Nationally, Borst currently serves on the Labor Relations Committee and has been a member of MSCA’s Marketing/Membership Committee, the Estimating Guide Task Force and the Sales Managers’ Training Task Force. Locally, he is the advisor to the MSCA Student Chapter at Ferris State University. In addition, he serves as an advisor to the Ferris State University HVAC R Program and as a member of the City of Grand Rapids Codes Board.
