Steril-Aire, Inc., Cerritos, CA, a manufacturer of patented UVC devices for IAQ and mold control in buildings and homes, has promoted Douglas A. Smith to Southeastern regional manager. He will be responsible for the sales and marketing of Steril-Aire products throughout Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Kentucky.
Steril-Aire hired Smith last year to establish a Florida office for the company based in Orlando. He will continue to head this office in addition to his expanded duties as regional manager. Prior to joining Steril-Aire, Smith spent more than 20 years as a sales engineer in the HVAC industry, including five years of experience in UVC products and applications. He has been an active member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) since 1984.
