    Women in HVACR Convenes at Comfortech in Nashville

    Topics for discussion included customer service, leadership, service agreements, mentoring, and LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design).

    Attendees at the 2nd Annual Women in HVACR conference enjoyed 1 1 /2 days of networking opportunities and programming.

    Nearly 60 attendees gathered for the second annual Women in HVACR conference held September13-14 in Nashville, TN.

    The conference kicked off with a cocktail reception and then launched into a full day of programming with topics such as customer service, leadership, service agreements, mentoring, and LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design).

    Speakers included:

    • Ron Smith, Ron Smith Consulting and Coaching
    • Kelly Bryson, Berg Inc. (Contracting Business' HVACR Woman of the Year)
    • Jacki Bradbury-Guerrero, Coastal Comfort
    • Sharon McGee, RM Mechanical
    • Gregory R. Jeffers , P.E., LEED AP, McKenney's Inc. and Dave Retherford, Tom Barrow.

    Guests also had the opportunity to attend a panel discussion on how to better recruit women into the HVACR industry.

    The association recently reached its 2005 goal of 200 members, which hail from all aspects of the HVACR industry. Women in HVACR will have booths at AHR Expo held January 23-25 at McCormick Place, Chicago, IL and the ISH North America Trade Show, September 26-30, 2006 in Chicago, IL.
