(Memo to self: "Stop mentioning the lousy economy in the first paragraph of any article about business management. Stay positive!")

    "Got it. Thank you, me..."

Moving on, are you finding new ways to reach what is often called, "the next level" of business development? If so, I'd like to hear from you, for an upcoming article.

A recent Forbes article by Christopher Steiner lists some great ideas for moving up, such as:

    • befriending bankers (they need to know something about your character and competence, in addition to your spreadsheet numbers)
    • having disconnected business phone numbers in your industry/region redirected to your office
    • knowing and sticking to your strengths
    • paying yourself as little as possible for a time.

      (see http://onforb.es/forbesnextlevel)

HVACR contractors can also find new marketing strategies, enter a new market segment (after doing some research/crunching the numbers), expanding training, or becoming experts in a new technology.

If you're tired of hearing about "green" I understand. But define it in your own way. I see it as energy efficiency. Can you promote that?
