Sue Poremba noted in Forbes just this week that the Internet of Things is creating numerous security issues both for individuals and companies alike due to the ever-growing amount of data online.

    Jay Mellon, CEO of AtNetPlus, said in a blog post on The Huffington Post that 93 percent of companies that suffer breaches have fewer than 100 employees, showing just how much this happens to those who do not expect it.

    In May of last year, Michael Weil looked at cybersecurity in the HVAC industry on Contracting Business, nothing that “cybercriminals, nation-states, and hacker activists waging these attacks are growing increasingly sophisticated and more effective in their efforts to steal and sabotage.”
