Haberberger Completes Three School HVAC Projects

    Oct. 24, 2013
Haberberger was in charge of replacing the existing HVAC systems with Daikin VRV (Variable Refrigerant Volume) systems in each school. The new systems distribute refrigerant rather than water, increasing efficiency and regulating energy usage.

At 65 — and showing no signs of "retiring" — Haberberger Inc., a full-service mechanical contracting company based in Affton, MO, recently completed work at Grannemann Elementary School in Jennings, and Jana Elementary and Barrington Elementary schools, which are both located in Florissant. All three schools are part of the Hazelwood School District in St. Louis County.

Work on all three projects was overseen by Project Manager Steve Haberberger, Jr. Serving as foreman on the Jana Elementary School project was Ken Kasal, while Tim Waldorf led as foreman on the Barrington Elementary project and Kevin Hartmann was foreman on the Grannemann Elementary project.  The pipefitter foremen and crews did an excellent job of coordinating and completing the project on time with the aggressive schedule.

Ameresco served as construction manager and Haberberger worked as piping subcontractor to Vogel Heating and Cooling.
