Spring is historically the time of year when HARDI members from the eight HARDI regions gather to forge connections with their peers. What follows are highlights from the four regional meetings that took place in recent months. (Note: In the spirit of fraternity, some regions have chosen to combine their meetings.)

    Southeastern Regional Meeting

Myrtle Beach Marriott Resort at Grande Dunes, Myrtle Beach, SC
    April 30-May 2

The “Impact of 13 SEER Changes on Compressor Warranties” and the “Impact of Government Legislation on R22/Impact of EPA Scrutiny of the Supermarket Industry” were the opening educational topics presented at this, the first of the regional meetings. Plenty of time was allowed for recreation and hospitality among attendees as well.

    Northeastern & Mid-Atlantic Regional Meeting

    Hilton Mystic, Mystic, CT
    May 21-23

A reception at the Mystic Aquarium welcomed attendees to the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic Regional Meeting. Golf, educational sessions and other activities peppered the day as wholesalers focused on becoming more successful in the current environment.

Central & Great Lakes Regional Meeting

Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, Lake Geneva, WI
    June 11-13

As host this year to the HARDI Mid-Year Business Conference, the Central & Great Lakes Regional meeting welcomed a pleasingly full group. The interaction between wholesalers and manufacturers was paramount at the Vendor Wholesaler Mini-Meetings Monday morning. Consumer-Driven Health Plans were on the plate for Tuesday's educational session. Golf and hospitality suites rounded out the networking opportunities at this meeting.

    Southwestern & Western Regional Meeting

La Quinta Resort & Club, La Quinta, CA
    June 18-20

Desert temperatures of more than 100 degrees only helped to heat up the building of relationships for which the Southwestern & Western Regional Meeting is known. This tight-knit group planned many activities around family, especially kids. This is one way to help perpetuate future HVAC wholesale/distributors. Richard Wirtz from HARDI offered the group an enlightening look at how 13 SEER relates to mixed/matched systems for your customers. Opportunities for various recreational activities, including golf, continued to gel the bond between regional peers.

Members of Canadian region will meet at the HRAI Meeting, September 7-9, at the Delta Prince Edward in Charlottetown, PEI.
