At the recent 2015 Mobile World Congress, new multi-pixel gas sensors and barometric pressure sensors were unveiled by Sensirion. These sensors are touted as being some of the smallest available, while also being highly accurate.

These sensors help measure indoor air quality, gasses via breath, barometric air pressure and more. The devices can connect with smartphones, tablets, Internet of Things programs and even wearable technology that are already in Sensirion’s product line. The company said it wanted to offer a complete solution all the way from the sensor to the user’s cloud.

If used correctly with this technology, this could offer some game changing technology the likes of which we have not yet seen. More exact measurements of atmosphere, gas, breath and more could mean saving a lot of time and headaches from various situations.
