    An in-depth look at the 2024 OSHA workplace safety violations, offering a comprehensive overview of the most cited federal standards.

    The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) released its Top 10 most frequently cited workplace safety standards for 2024. This list aggregates the citations issued by OSHA staff for violations of federal standards as they conduct safety inspections of workplaces. OSHA’s top 10 citations in 2024 consists of safety violations noted during the 2024 fiscal year between Oct. 1, 2023 and Sept. 5, 2024.

    It should be noted that most categories did see a decrease in the number of citations from 2023 to 2024, and the total amount between all 10 categories decreased by 3,540 citations.
