Diversified CPC Snaps Up Pure Chem

Pure Chem pioneered the direct-to-contractor and consolidator refrigerant recycle program

Diversified CPC, International Inc. (DCPC) a leading propellant gas supplier and a subsidiary of Sumitomo Corporation of America has acquired Pure Chem Separation, L.P. (PCS). The new entity will be known as Diversified Pure Chem, LLC.

In the deal, DCPC a leading supplier of propellants, blowing agents, high purity hydrocarbons and hydrocarbon refrigerants, has acquired substantially all the assets of PCS.

According to, William N. Auriemma, President & CEO, DCPC, "This acquisition expands DCPC's reach into the fluorocarbon refrigerant markets, with a focus on recycle and reuse. Diversified Pure Chem (DPC) will continue to expand and develop its refrigerant recycle and reprocessing capabilities, in support of the EPA's intent to create sustainable refrigerant recycling businesses. With that in mind, DPC is acquiring the tallest, high pressure fractional distillation column for separating mixed refrigerants, in this industry. This will uniquely position DPC to separate large quantities of R-22, in addition to high-pressure mixtures, like R-410a," Auriemma says.

Pure Chem Separation is an EPA Certified Refrigerant Reclaimer, who pioneered the direct-to-contractor and consolidator Refrigerant Recycle program. PCS has grown as a carbon credit creator, with the Climate Action Reserve in California, via the controlled destruction of ozone-depleting refrigerants (like R-11, R-12, and others).

Diversified CPC is a global leader in the production and manufacturing of the highest quality aerosol propellants, specialty gases, alternative fuels, NGL refrigerants, physical foam blowing agents, and related products available.
