Diversified Pure Chem Opens Three New Locations to Expand Small Cylinder Exchange and Refrigerant Buyback Program

DPC employees collect 30-pound and 50-pound cylinders of recovered refrigerant, such as R-22, directly from area HVACR businesses All DPC customers receive EPA documentation, as well as weight and purity reports

Diversified Pure Chem (DPC), a leading EPA-certified refrigerant reclaimer based in Dallas, Texas, has opened three new facilities to offer small cylinder exchange and refrigerant buyback services within the following markets: Cincinnati, Ohio; Louisville, Ky; Indianapolis, Ind.; Greensboro, N.C.; and central Florida.

Through these facilities, located in Mason, Ohio; Kernersville, N.C.; and Lakeland, Fla., DPC employees collect 30-pound and 50-pound cylinders of recovered refrigerant, such as R-22, directly from area HVACR businesses. DPC performs onsite cylinder swaps and reimburses participants for the collected refrigerant. Payment is based on purity levels and there are no program fees.

“We’re expanding this program due to its popularity among HVACR contractors,” said Dave Couchot, general manager of DPC. “It’s the most convenient way to sell recovered gas without the worry of service fees. We now have 11 locations serving thousands of contractors and we’re looking to open more locations the coming months and years.”

In addition to the aforementioned markets, DPC’s small cylinder exchange and refrigerant buyback program is available in southeast and central Florida, Austin, Texas; San Antonio, Texas; Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas; Phoenix, Ariz.; and throughout the state of California. Within the remaining U.S. markets, DPC picks up and buys recovered refrigerant in 250- and 1000-pound cylinders.

The reclaimer purchases recovered R-22, R-410A, R-11, R-12, R123, R-502, R-134a, R-113, and R-11. All DPC customers receive EPA documentation, as well as weight and purity reports.
