Educational Services, a business unit of Emerson Climate Services LLC, a business of Emerson, has introduced a supermarket training course on compressor technology and applications for refrigeration contractors and technicians.

The course is designed to enhance technician skills by improving rack refrigeration system and diagnostics knowledge. This will help technicians be more effective, reduce costly callbacks and increase productivity.

The new two-day course was developed for refrigeration technicians, contractors, end users and facility engineers, and is designed to help them fully understand the latest technology on supermarket rack applications. It offers background on overall system design, field service and troubleshooting skills and covers the latest advancements in Copeland compressor technology, including CoreSense electronics that are now onboard all of the semi-hermetic and scroll compressors found on racks.

“We worked with refrigeration contractors, wholesalers, and our experts at Emerson to create a course that provides a comprehensive view of parallel rack systems,” said Larry Banas, director of educational services, Emerson Climate Technologies. “The course addresses topics that contractors encounter every day in the field and provides the answers they need before heading to the job site.”

Banas notes that the course was developed in response to customer and wholesaler requests to assist in training personnel on the latest in refrigeration rack technology.

Class sizes are limited and are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Registrations may be made directly with the wholesalers hosting the class.
