The 2014 selling season just got a little bit more interesting.

Daikin Industries, Ltd. A full line of ducted products will be available for the 2014 selling season and will be sold through select North American distributors.

December, 2012: In a ContractingBusiness.com exclusive, Takeshi Ebisu, left, senior executive officer and a member of the board for Daikin Industries, and David Swift, chief executive officer, Goodman Manufacturing Co. said the HVAC industry could expect big things from the merger of Daikin and Goodman.

Recognized as a world leader in the manufacture of HVAC equipment and refrigerants, the Daikin brand will be supported by an aggressive brand reinforcement campaign that will include several unique co-marketing partnerships. In addition, several programs to drive prospective sales leads to qualifying Daikin dealers will be actively deployed. “We believe that the Daikin brand launch allows us an opportunity to better serve a focused group of HVAC dealers who will find value in the leading technology associated with the Daikin brand and who want to represent the number one HVAC brand in the world. One of our goals with the Daikin brand is to serve a segment of the replacement market in which other manufacturers have under-invested. It’s a rare and exciting opportunity to launch a new brand in the North American HVAC industry,” said Dave Swift, President and CEO of Daikin North America, LLC.
