Carrier announced on Dec. 1 that KB Home, one of the nation’s largest and most recognized homebuilders, will now include a Carrier Côr thermostat in all of its homes at newly built communities opening in 2016 and beyond.
The Côr smart thermostat combines the convenience of smart device remote access with improved system efficiency. It allows users to control their home’s heating and cooling conveniently from any internet-connected device, easily monitor their energy usage, or let the smart technology automatically optimize their home’s energy needs.
Incorporating the Côr thermostat as a standard feature of KB homes is the builder's latest in a series of continual energy efficiency improvements to its new homes. All KB homes are ENERGY STAR certified and include WaterSense labeled fixtures as well as other features for smarter, healthier, more sustainable homes.
“As one of the nation’s leading homebuilders, we understand the importance of designing our homes to support today’s connected lifestyles,” said Dan Bridleman, senior vice president of Sustainability, Technology & Strategic Sourcing at KB Home. “By equipping every new KB home with Carrier’s innovative Côr thermostat, we empower our homeowners to take greater control of their home’s energy usage, right from their fingertips.”
“KB Home’s decision to make our Côr thermostat a standard component of its new homes illustrates a commitment to smart technology as a way to deliver convenience and efficiency to homeowners,” said David Meyers, vice president, sales, Carrier. “We are thrilled KB Home selected Carrier and our Côr thermostat, which builds on more than century of experience in heating and cooling. We believe its innovative features and ease of use will improve their homeowner’s lifestyle.”
The Côr thermostat’s smartphone-like touchscreen and sleek design provide an intuitive user experience, making it easy for KB homeowners to take advantage of its wide range of benefits.
