Carrier Acquires Green Building Consultancy

Carrier Corp., a unit of United Technologies Corp., has acquired Environmental Market Solutions, Inc. (EMSI), an environmental and green building consulting company with offices in Washington, D.C., Missouri, and Beijing and Shanghai, China.

EMSI provides sustainable design consulting services to building developers and owners to create energy-efficient and LEED-certified buildings. Just six years in business, EMSI has been involved in many high profile commercial projects in China and the U.S. EMSI President Kenneth Langer and the company’s management team will continue in their respective roles under Carrier Corp.
