• Coalition Seeks to Make the HVACR Industry a Safer Place

    Several industry entities have joined forces to form the AC&R Safety Coalition. The group’s goal is to address various safety issues within the air conditioning and refrigeration sectors of the HVACR industry. Members of the coalition include: • Esco Institute • Ferris State University • HVAC Excellence • Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA) • Industrial Technology Excellence • Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES) The coalition’s first project is safety training and awareness for R-410A. The coalition’s goal is to educate technicians, contractors and students on the proper procedures and safety measures associated with this refrigerant. The coalition’s R-410A safety training program includes study materials and a certification exam, and is available in either self-study or seminar formats.
