An editing error resulted in incorrect information appearing in the article Meeting the Challenge of the Future (page 9 of the 60th Anniversary supplement that accompanied our September issue). The correct statement is that 35.3% of all the energy consumed in the U.S. is consumed by buildings — 19.6% residential, 15.7% commercial.
In this year's Guide to High Efficiency Furnaces (CB, August 2004, p. 134), the warranty information for the 9V furnaces from Coleman, Luxaire, and York was listed incorrectly. It should have read, limited lifetime on heat exchanger.
