Synthetic coating will protect heat exchangers

Luvata ElectroFin, Inc. announced plans to open a facility in Florida to meet the growing demand for HVACR coil protection against corrosive environments. The facility, scheduled to begin operations in the first quarter of 2010, will offer INSITU® a spray applied, permanent, water-based, synthetic coating developed by Luvata ElectroFin specifically for the protection of heat exchange units.

Luvata ElectroFin will provide spray-applied capacity at the new location as well as customer on-site applications, INSITU® broadens and complements Luvata’s plant applied e-coat product ElectroFin®.

“The coil corrosion protection offered by Luvata retains the operating efficiency of the unit longer while reducing maintenance, replacement and operating costs. This ultimately extends the length of service of HVAC&R systems. With the opening of our Florida facility, Luvata brings this solution a little closer to customers who recognize the benefit of INSITU®,” says Ralph Rice, general manager with Luvata ElectroFin.

The Florida location will serve customers in the Southeast U.S., and joins Luvata’s other three ElectroFin locations in Louisville, KY, Jacksonville, TX, and Temecula, CA in offering spray-applied coil corrosion protection.
