Trane has awarded its “Strategic Training Ally” designation to National Comfort Institute (NCI), Sheffield Lake, OH.
“There are a large number of excellent HVAC training companies in our industry. However, Trane has a very limited number of ‘Strategic Training Allies’ that we partner with to help us achieve our business objectives,” says Tim Storm, Trane product and technical training manager.
According to Storm, Trane recognizes the critical role correct airflow plays in system comfort, performance, efficiency, reliability, and most of all, long-term customer satisfaction; it's a comfort element Trane believes relates to NCI's expertise.
“NCI is a leader in air diagnostics and has developed some simple, proven techniques that technicians can use to quickly and accurately diagnose an HVAC system in the field”, Storm says.
“I’m really excited about working with an organization with a great reputation for quality and service," says NCI President Rob Falke. "Trane has shown a commitment to raising the bar on total system quality and efficiency as well,” says Falke.
With the new relationship, both Trane and American Standard distributors will have the opportunity to bring NCI’s nationally recognized training and installed system efficiency rating methods to their local dealer network. Dealers may qualify to use co-op funds to attend classes.
Several Trane distributors around the country already sponsor NCI training events and reacted positively to the announcement.
When Diane MacPherson, Marketing Manager at Air Purchases, an independent Trane distributor in Burlington, Massachusetts heard the news she was very pleased.
“We have sponsored NCI courses in the past and the training and the instructors consistently receive high marks from our dealers for professionalism and depth of content,” MacPherson says.
“NCI training is some of the very best of the best. Dealer feedback is incredible so we are excited that we’ll be able to provide even more opportunities for them,” adds David Collins of ACES A/C Supply in Houston, TX.
