    Southland Industries Expands Building Services

    Nov. 4, 2015
Envise is able to focus on exceeding customers’ expectations as well as serve as a single source of responsibility for building services by uniting building automation, mechanical service, and analytics under one roof.

Southland Industries, one of the nation's largest mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) building systems experts recently launched a new wholly owned subsidiary, called Envise. As a building management systems integrator, Envise will focus on analytics, building management systems, and equipment lifecycle management in order to optimize building performance for customers’ facilities.

“Today, building owners and facilities staff are continuously being challenged to run their buildings more efficiently. This can be a difficult undertaking without the right partner to address building management, technology integration, energy management, and facility services from a single source and in a reliable manner,” stated CEO of Envise, Chris Lofaso. “Our knowledgeable team of experts form long-term, collaborative partnerships with customers to help manage both their facilities and budgets. By developing building solutions that are built around performance metrics, we are able to improve facilities throughout their lifecycle and meet customers’ short and long term goals,” Lofaso continued.

The essence of the name Envise stems from the two core elements that the organization was built upon: improving indoor environments, and earning the trust of customers in order to be seen as an advisor. Therefore, the name Envise is intended as an abbreviation of “Environmental Advisor.”

Envise is able to focus on exceeding customers’ expectations as well as serve as a single source of responsibility for building services by uniting building automation, mechanical service, and analytics under one roof. With Southland as its parent company, Envise also has access to a large network of engineering, construction, and energy professionals to provide expertise for complete building lifecycle solutions when required.

“We developed Envise to focus on and better serve the building automation and operations needs of our customers. By expanding this segment of our business into a large national network of resources, we can better serve the needs of our national customers,” commented Southland Industries CEO Ted Lynch. “Because our in-house experts take a holistic approach to any project, we can undoubtedly provide maximum efficiency and value,” Lynch continued.
