Mobile Device for Construction Sites
The N4 is a mobile device designed for rough workplaces, sporting a waterproof polycarbonate shell that is heat-resistant. Features include a 5.5-in. diagonal high-resolution 720 x 1280 Super-AMOLED display, Android version 4.3, and a 70-key backlit keypad. It has a hot-swappable battery, optional three-channel magnetic stripe reader, and an 8MP color camera. N4 incorporates the Samsung Galaxy Note series of smart-phones, is rugged to Military Standard 810G (using methods 516.6 and method 514.6 for both shock and vibration) and operating temperatures of Military Standard 810F. Electronic Pressure Independent Valve
Belimo has expanded the 2-in. electronic pressure independent valve (ePIV) offering to include five new factory-set flow models from 80 to 100 GPM. To achieve these flow settings, the specification for operating differential pressure range is 8 to 50 psid and media temperature range is 39F to 250F. For these models, field-set maximum flow is adjustable from 30 to100 GPM, in 1 GPM increments, with the Belimo ZTH US hand-held tool or PC Tool. —Belimo Americas

High-performance Combination Louver
Pottorff introduces the EXA-645, a high-performance combination louver with Best-In-Class AMCA-certified performance for free area (50.4%), and a pressure loss of 0.15 in. wg at 1,272 fpm. The louver features stationary drainable louver blades and an integral airfoil blade control damper allowing positive shutoff protection from air intake and exhaust openings. It has a durable frame system channeling water away from the louver, and a drainable head that removes water by cascading down the face of the building. Blade and jamb seals provide a tight closure. Daikin Applied has expanded the Magnitude WMC chiller line with four additional sizes (WMC125, 200, 225 and 275) and are available from 100 to 1,500 tons. ENERGY STAR Most Efficient 2014 furnaces
Coleman Echelon CP9C modulating gas-fired furnaces and select LX Series furnaces from Johnson Controls have been selected as ENERGY STAR Most Efficient 2014 when combined with the residential communicating control. The designation recognizes the most efficient products among those that qualify for ENERGY STAR. Product features must include annual fuel utilization efficiency (AFUE) of 97% or higher, two-way communications with the system controller, and fault code transmission to the indoor controller. Other requirements include automated configuration, and thermostat or other control device with a user interface that can be located in the conditioned space. The units also provide diagnostic and setup information into plain text and access to outside temperature data.
