Affiliated Distributors Honors Excellence at 2010 North American Meeting

Affiliated Distributors (A-D), North America’s largest distributor network, held its Spirit of Independence Awards ceremony for the Plumbing, PVF and HVAC Divisions on October 4th, 2010.

Held annually in conjunction with A-D’s North American Meeting, the Spirit of Independence Awards identify individual Affiliates and Suppliers who have excelled in marketing, performance, and/or leadership.

“The North American Meeting brings together a select group of the industry’s leading distributors and suppliers, who by association make each other better and stronger. I think our meeting theme ‘Iron Sharpens Iron’ served to underscore this point and says a lot about the value of relationships forged through A-D and meetings like this one” says Roy Weaks, Senior-Vice President of the PHCP Division. “The Spirit of Independence Awards gives us the chance to recognize our top performers in several areas.”

The prestigious Affiliate of the Year and Supplier of the Year Awards were once again presented to recognize excellence in performance and leadership. Marketing awards were presented for Best Annual Planning Process, Best Conversion to an A-D Supplier and Supplier of the Year – Marketing Excellence.

The highlight of the ceremony was the MVP Award, presented by Affiliated Distributors’ CEO Bill Weisberg. This award recognizes outstanding effort from the people on the front lines who contribute to the overall welfare of their company and the group.
