    Acquisitions Propel Dwyer Group to Record Year

    “Dwyer Group continues to be a shining example of the success of private equity investing,” said president/CEO Mike Bidwell. Since being purchased for the second time by The Riverside Company in August 2014, Dwyer Group has grown by 50 percent.

    Dwyer Group, Inc., one of the world’s largest franchising companies of trade service brands, celebrated a historic year of growth and an acquisition record to rival any franchisor in America for 2015.

    “This was a year for the record books,” said Mike Bidwell, president and CEO of Dwyer Group. “We grew more in the last 12 months than any other time since our company was founded in 1981.”

    Dwyer Group completed four acquisitions throughout the year that added:

    • Five Star Painting, January, 2015
    • Service Brands International (which included Molly Maid, Mr. Handyman and ProTect Painters), June 2015
    • The Grounds Guys Canada, June 2015
    • Acquisition of Drain Doctor, the Mr. Rooter Plumbing master license business in the United Kingdom, October 2015

    Strong organic growth also added 260 new franchise locations to the company’s original eight service brands. When combined with the acquisitions, the overall Dwyer Group roster expanded to 13 service brands and more than 2,500 franchise locations in 10 countries around the world. Today, Dwyer Group service brands account for over 3 million service calls a year and more than $1.3 billion in annual system-wide sales.
