    April 16, 2010
Ruskin's new Stoney Creek, Ontario plant for the manufacture of air and sound control products, will expand its North American production capabilities. This allows the company to better serve its customers in eastern Canada.

With the grand opening of its Stoney Creek, Ontario plant on April 23, Ruskin, the Kansas City, MO-based manufacturer of air and sound control products, will expand its North American production capabilities. Sources say the expansion will help the company to better serve its customers in eastern Canada.

The Stoney Creek plant increases the company’s overall capacity in Canada by complementing existing operations in Vancouver, British Columbia.

“The new plant extends our manufacturing capabilities covering the population centers throughout Canada. Our Canadian customers can order and expect faster delivery locally without potential delays at the border,” says Tom Edwards, Ruskin President. “This represents a significant savings in both time and costs.”

The Stoney Creek facility will begin manufacturing UL classified fire dampers and low leak control dampers. The Stoney Creek plant has capacity to expand and add production lines and workers from the local markets. Also known as ASL — Air Systems Limited — the Stoney Creek and Vancouver facilities will now operate under the name of Ruskin Company Canada, Inc.

Ruskin was founded in 1958. It maufactures air and sound control products, dampers, and louvers.
