The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA), Arlington, VA has changed its staff structure as it completes a three-year reorganization program. On January 1, 2003, ACCA and its state and local affiliates throughout the country will integrate into one national federation, establishing educational and program partnerships, and aggressively promoting contractor interests in states, communities, and Washington, DC. To position ACCA headquarters staff to partner with state and local chapters and meet changing member needs, Paul T. Stalknecht, ACCA president and CEO, announced the creation of a new Membership Services department to oversee membership marketing, development, and analysis. Stalknecht announced that Kevin W. Holland will assume management of this new department. Holland, who joined ACCA in August 2001 as Vice President for Communications & Information Services, will continue to oversee the association's communications and information technology programs in addition to his expanded responsibilities within the organization. Effective immediately, he will be named ACCA vice president for communications and membership services. "Kevin has taken ACCA's communications program to a whole new level of professionalism this year, and has been an extraordinary asset to the organization," Stalknecht says. "With his extensive background in association management at the state and national level, I'm confident that he will bring the same creative, entrepreneurial spirit to our membership program." Holland's first action in his new role was the promotion of Kimya D. Bailey to director of membership services. Bailey, formerly manager of communications programs, will now oversee the association's membership management function. Jeanne Cooper, director of federation relations, will serve as chief liaison with the ACCA affiliates and work to develop new ACCA state associations. "As we move ACCA through this historic federation and into the future of the contracting industry, the two-way relationship between chapters and headquarters is of primary importance," says Jim Hussey, 2002-2003 ACCA chairman. "Positioning our Federation Relations department so prominently shows the tremendous value and respect the 'one ACCA' has for our chapter affiliates." Chris Hoelzel, vice president for marketing and business development, will now focus all of his efforts on the development and marketing of ACCA technical and management products, business partnerships, and conference and training programs. Stalknecht also announced that Hilary P. Atkins, vice president for industry relations, will assume the additional position of corporate counsel.
