Debbie Wright-Hood, chief administrative officer of The Dwyer Group, has been named a recipient of this year’s Women of Distinction Awards by the Girl Scouts of Central Texas, for her outstanding leadership and service to the Waco community.
The Dwyer Group is the parent company over several franchise brands that include Aire Serv, Glass Doctor, Mr. Appliance, Mr. Electric, Mr. Rooter and Rainbow International.
The annual Women of Distinction Award is given by the Girl Scouts of America, Bluebonnet Council, to recognize Waco-area women who demonstrate excellence in various fields such as business, education, government, communications, health care, sports, volunteer services, multicultural activities and/or Girl Scouting.
“Debbie is the epitome of a woman who leads by example,” says Dina Dwyer-Owens, CEO and chairwoman of The Dwyer Group. “She dedicates herself to serving others both in her personal and professional life. We are honored to have her not only as an integral member of The Dwyer Group team, but also as an inspirational leader to all who know her.”
Wright-Hood will be honored at the Waco-area Women of Distinction Dinner on April 8, at the Cashion Building on Baylor University's campus.
