St. Louis, Mo.-based Haberberger, Inc. today announced that Jimmy Johnson of Imperial, Mo., was recently hired as a piping designer, bringing 18 years of piping/mechanical design experience to the full-service mechanical contracting firm. Johnson’s background includes experience in areas such as refinery, petrochemical, chemical, pharmaceutical, and food and beverage.
Prior to joining Haberberger, Johnson served nearly seven years as a senior piping designer at CH2M Hill, where he was in charge of leading various piping projects and all aspects of design, including piping layout, piping isometrics, fabrication isometrics and pipe support details from 3D models. He also worked closely with clients, helping them to identify current utility systems and redesigns to achieve cost savings.
As a piping designer at Haberberger, Johnson heads up the piping detailing department, assisting all project managers and foremen with their detailing and layout needs. He creates a variety of drawings, including jobsite layout drawings and coordination drawings, and sets up 3-D modeling drawings for projects. He also assists customers with upcoming budgets and projects.
