Bill Caretsky has been named managing principal of the New England Region of Syska Hennessy Group, a leading consulting, engineering and construction firm. Caretsky is charged with leading a staff of 25 technical professionals who are committed to the firm’s vision of “creating exceptional environments.”
Syska Hennessy Group’s Cambridge office provides comprehensive design and consulting services for healthcare/health-sciences, higher education, critical facilities, vertical transportation, high performance solutions, museums, aquariums and visitor attractions. Projects include a LEED® silver renovation of Aldrich Hall at Harvard Business School; work at the Boston Federal Reserve; the University of Massachusetts Boston; and the new Miami Science Museum and the Georgia Aquarium.
Caretsky has 35 years of client and market-focused design experience for all building types, supplemented by his expertise in the healthcare/health sciences market sector. In addition to his new regional leadership responsibilities, Caretsky will continue in his position as operations manager for Syska Hennessy Group’s national healthcare/health sciences practice, to accelerate the growth of this market in the New England region.
He and his team recently led the engineering design of two prominent healthcare projects -- the University Medical Center at Princeton replacement hospital, and the critically acclaimed Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
