The honor was announced in January at the World Economic Forum held in Davos, Switzerland. The list includes companies evaluated based on how effectively they manage environmental, social and governance risks and opportunities as compared with other companies in their industry.
The Davos World Economic Forum is organized by the World Economic Forum, a nonprofit organization headquartered in Switzerland.In 2008, the forum included about 2,500 participants from 88 countries.
