Mark Bergman has been named director of controls, McQuay International, Minneapolis, MN. He is responsible for the overall direction of McQuay’s MicroTech[TM] and MicroTech II[TM] Direct Digital Control Systems, including strategic planning, marketing and development. McQuay controls integrate with building automation systems (BAS) to increase the performance and operating efficiency of McQuay chillers, air handling systems and air terminal systems. A primary responsibility for Bergman will be the continued development of McQuay’s Protocol Selectability[TM], designed for flexible and cost effective BAS integration. It allows MicroTech II unit controllers to communicate using open, standard protocols such as BACnet[TM] or LonMark[TM] for maximum BAS compatibility. Prior to joining McQuay, Bergman held positions in product development, marketing and strategic planning at Trane for 18 years.
