Jackson & Sons Heating and Air Conditioning announces that each of the company’s eight Demand Service Technicians have now qualified for North American Technician Excellence (NATE) certification in the specialty area of Air Conditioning Equipment and Systems. NATE certification is heralded as a key indicator of the experience, education and work ethic that are desired when hiring a heating and cooling contractor. The designation not only denotes each technician’s ability to troubleshoot a wide range of heating and air conditioning problems in the field, but also their ability to re-apply that knowledge through the demanding tests required for certification.
Founded in 1997 NATE is an independent, not-for-profit organization governed by the HVACR industry that develops standards for and promotes excellence in the areas of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration sales and service. In order to quantify achievement of these standards, NATE, in concert with industry experts, developed a rigorous examination schedule, designed to evaluate a technician’s real-world working knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems. Each Jackson & Sons technician will hold their certification, badge and ID card for five years before testing for re-certification.
David Jackson, CFO of Jackson & Sons, stated of the recent awards, “We know that the foundation of a company is only as strong as the employees that work there. We’re privileged to have a team of knowledgeable, customer-centric technicians who represent the excellence that NATE demands in the field on a daily basis. The certifications are well-deserved and we look forward to each technician continuing to provide the unparalleled service our customers have come to expect.”
