Lennox International Inc. (LII) announced that Scott J. Boxer, president of Lennox Industries Inc., has assumed the additional responsibility of temporary leadership of LII subsidiary Service Experts, replacing Dennis Smith. An active search is underway and a new president of Service Experts is expected to be named prior to the end of the second quarter, says Bob Schjerven, CEO, LII.
Boxer joined LII in 1998 as president, European operations and was named president of Lennox Industries Inc. in July, 2000. Prior to joining LII, he spent 26 years with York International in various leadership roles including president, Unitary Products Group Worldwide. He is an executive board member of ARI (Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute) and serves on the board of directors of NATE (North American Technician Excellence).
“This management change is in no way related to the financial performance of Service Experts,” say Schjerven. “Service Experts made substantial progress in operating performance last year, and we expect to sustain this momentum through continued implementation of the business and marketing plans already in place for long-term growth. This is the directive for Scott in the short term and the new president in the longer term.”
Service Experts, a subsidiary of LII owns and operates approximately 200 retail service centers throughout the U. S. and Canada. For more information, visit www.lennoxinternational.com.
