Geothermal Trainingfrom Clean Edison

Oct. 13, 2010
All trainers have minimum five years of experience

Clean Edison is offering new geothermal courses to help HVAC contrators learn the fundamental theory and the practice of designing and installing ground source heat pump systems.

Ground source heat pump systems consist of pipes installed in the ground, with water or another liquid circulating through the pipes. The liquid utilizes the steady-state temperature of the ground to condition the air of the house. The systems provide consistent energy output over seasons, are extremely efficient, and have a 50-year life expectancy with extremely low maintenance requirements, according to Clean Edison.

Clean Edison sources say geothermal installations are now more affordable, due to incentives from federal and local programs. All of Clean Edison's trainers have a minimum of 5 years experience in the field, and are fully certified by the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA).

Another course provides accredited geothermal installer certification training. It includes three days of instruction, field guides, pipe fustion certification, and geothermal reference books, and more.
