Mitsubishi Electric Advisor ToolSimplifies Homeowner Options

Dec. 7, 2011
The Solution Advisor allows homeowners to enter data about their home such as room size and preference for ENERGY STAR®-qualified products.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) http://1.usa.gov/energystardata the average homeowner’s cooling and heating system accounts for half of the home’s total energy bills. “Homeowners feel overwhelmed by the many available options to cool and heat their homes efficiently,” says Marc Zipfel, director of product marketing, Mitsubishi Electric Cooling & Heating (Mitsubishi Electric).

The Solution Advisor allows homeowners to enter data about their home such as room size and preference for
ENERGY STAR®-qualified products.

With the customer in mind, Mitsubishi Electric, a leading brand of ductless systems, has upgraded the Solution Advisor tool on its website designed to help homeowners find the perfect cooling and heating system for their home. The Solution Advisor allows homeowners to enter data about their home such as room size and preference for ENERGY STAR®-qualified products. Once this data is submitted the Solution Advisor will generate a list of appropriate Mitsubishi Electric products that best suits their space. Homeowners can print out the model listing as well as a list of relevant questions to ask their cooling and heating professional.

The Solution Advisor now features an Energy Savings Estimator where homeowners can plug in information from existing utility bills, or specifications such as the age of the home, type and quantity of windows, the location of the room, and the type of the existing cooling and heating system. Once the homeowner enters the information into the system, the program estimates the energy-saving benefits of installing a Mitsubishi Electric residential cooling and heating system compared to their existing system.

“At Mitsubishi Electric, our goal is to make our technology understandable and readily accessible,” adds Zipfel. “The new Solution Advisor ensures that homeowners have tools at their disposal to make it easier to work with their contractors to choose the right home comfort control system."
