York International’s Unitary Products Group (UPG) is proud to announce the launch of its new Web site. Accessible at www.yorkupg.com, the site represents a completely new look from the original UPG site launched two and one half years ago.

With a home page that links homeowners, dealers and distributors, engineers and business-to-business customers to four new areas created to meet their very specific needs, the redesigned site provides visitors with direct and easy-to-navigate paths to useful information. Homeowners, for example, will find seasonal promotions, maintenance tips, a glossary and an FAQ section in addition to detailed product information, financing options, warranty information and access to online product registration capabilities.

“At YORK we realize that today’s consumers are carefully researching their options as they consider purchasing decisions,” said Doug Widenmann, YORK brand marketing director. “They are going to the Internet in greater numbers to gather information and educate themselves before they make a purchase. We want to assist them by providing them with the information they seek on home comfort systems and how those systems fit in the context of their homes.”

Dealers and distributors who visit the new Web site will be introduced to the special resources available to YORK dealers, including descriptions of the Liberties™ program, advertising support and a variety of E-business tools, such as the Business Analyzer, Build-A-Brochure™ and Ad Planner™. A distributor locator directs visitors to the nearest YORK dealers within a selected radius, and extensive product information includes the features and benefits of specific UPG product models. Online press releases and downloadable technical literature support this information.

Engineers will appreciate the extensive product technical information available to them on the site as they prepare job specifications. “We want to equip engineers as well as our other audiences with the information and the tools they need to make good decisions and perform their jobs well,” noted Andy Fracica, YORK brand marketing manager. “This new site provides multiple paths that direct visitors to good product information, both on the commercial and the residential side.

YORK’s business-to-business portal was created for the benefit of national accounts. National accounts customers now have a portal to information specifically formatted to meet their needs. This section will grow and expand to provide a valuable resource to YORK’s national accounts customers.

“The new site is an organic site,” Fracica added. “It represents only the first phase of a long-term plan to bring more helpful, interactive, educational content to consumers, dealers and engineers. As such, the site is the foundation for an even bigger, more robust site that reinforces YORK’s position as a leader in HVAC design and innovation.”
