YORK Offers ComfortTech 2003 Early Birds Free Training

YORK Internationals Unitary Products Group (UPG) will sponsor a training program on service agreements for up to 200 HVAC contractors on September 10

YORK International’s Unitary Products Group (UPG) will sponsor a training program on service agreements for up to 200 HVAC contractors on September 10 at the Wyndham-Anatole Hotel in Dallas, Texas. Coinciding with the beginning of ComforTech 2003, YORK Business Day offers contractors the opportunity to arrive a day early for ComforTech and take advantage of this latest offering from YORK’s Business Training University (BTU). Participating distributors are YORK customers in the southwest region.

The daylong training program – featuring nationally recognized experts in HVAC contracting -- is free to participants. HVAC contractors who are interested in attending the program should get in touch with their nearest YORK distributor or call YORK (405-419-6551) for more information.

Participants in the program may attend four, two-hour sessions beginning at 7:30 a.m. and ending at 8:00 p.m. Topics for the sessions include how to set up and optimize a service agreement business, how to generate leads to support it, how to ensure customer service and support, and how to recruit technicians and staff for a service-agreement business.

Dr. Ron Collier, president of Collier Consulting Group, is an HVAC consultant and creator of the Business Analyzer. His group

Gary Elekes, president of EPC Inc., implemented systems for a major consolidator, created top performing operations models for contracting companies, researched and documented industry benchmarks for top performing companies at the retail level and owns and operates a multi-geographic HVAC contracting company.Richard Harshaw is a financial and management consultant and president of Lodestar Consulting Systems.
Harshaw is a frequent contributor to trade publications and his knowledge of financial and management techniques for the HVAC industry has benefited thousands of contractors throughout the United States.
Mark Matteson is president of Pinnacle Service Group, a management consulting and professional sales training organization, and the author of two books and numerous business articles.
