North American Technician Excellence (NATE) launched its new consumer website — hvacradvice.com — at the AHR Expo in Chicago last month.

The new site is part of an extensive online marketing program designed to attract consumers through helpful and informative content, while raising awareness of NATE and the value of technician certification. Sections address common questions about heating and cooling needs and provide homeowners with installation and maintenance resources.

The site features NATE's Consumer Contractor Connection (C3), a locator directing consumers to the nearest residential and/or light commercial HVACR contractor that employs a high percentage of NATE-certified technicians.

“Although the new site is designed with the consumer in mind, it also rewards contractors that employ NATE-certified technicians,” says Rex Boynton, president of NATE. “Every page on the site provides visitors the opportunity to locate the very best contractors in their area — those who acknowledge the value of NATE certification — increasing the number of qualified leads those contractors receive and helping to boost their sales,” Boynton says. Contractors who would like to update their C3 listing, company email address, and contact information should click on the “Consumer Contractor Connection” link on the NATE website at natex.org. Stay tuned to HVAC-Talk.com for more information on the new NATE consumer website.
