Fluke Corporation, Everett, WA, a manufacturer of electronic test tools, has acquired Raytek Corp., Santa Cruz, CA. Raytek is a leader in noncontact infrared (IR) temperature measurement instrumentation. The acquisition was made by Fluke’s parent corporation, Danaher Corp. “Fluke Corporation and Raytek share many similarities including market leadership, strong brand preference, talented engineering staffs and a reputation for quality and reliability,” notes Jim Lico, president of Fluke. “Fluke has been selling infrared products manufactured by Raytek for several years, so we know firsthand the high quality and workmanship that goes into their products.” Fluke will retain the Raytek brand name as well as its locations and staff around the world. There are no immediate plans to change the company’s sales structure.
