WaterFurnace International, Inc., a leading manufacturer of geothermal and water source heat pumps, recently achieved a 100 percent first test pass rate for all of its 2011 Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) certification tests.
The AHRI Certification Program tests and certifies the performance of heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) and water heating equipment, demonstrating to the government that performance claims have been independently measured and verified.
“Successfully passing annual first tests are a measure of merit for the AHRI certification program and reliability of the performance claims made by the participants,” says Bob Brown, WaterFurnace vice president of engineering. “This achievement, along with our recent ISO 17025 lab accreditation, demonstrates the company’s strong commitment to providing properly rated products to the marketplace.”
AHRI Certification Programs increase the integrity and accuracy of the HVACR and water heating industry’s performance ratings, earning the confidence of consumers. They create an even playing field for competing manufacturers and enhance the reputation of the industry. Upon verification, the AHRI Certified® mark is applied to a product to serve as a visual statement of conformance.
