On January 27, 2004, at the Anaheim Convention Center (Room 206A) in Anaheim, CA, you can learn how cutting edge contractors use system diagnostics to identify operation failures in HVAC equipment and differentiate themeselves in the marketplace. Varying opinions will be aired regarding the pros and cons of using this relatively new technology in the commercial workplace.
Moderated by Contracting Business magazine Chief Editor Mike Murphy, this panel will include:
- Dale Gustavson, principal, Better Buildings Interactive and executive director of the Air Conditioning Contractors of America, California State Chapter. -- Gustavson has extensive experience with the California Energy Commission and has played a key role in the development of energy programs, policies and technology research for the state. He will provide an overview of the market opportunity for service diagnostic equipment, what role it is likely to play in future building codes and what is coming next in the way of diagnostics.
- Dale Rossi, president, D.T. Rossi, Inc., Limerick, PA. -- After spending 15 years as the owner of Four Seasons, an HVAC company that specialized in serving national account customers, Rossi helped co-develop the patent for the Service Assistant, a service diagnostic tool now offered through the Honeywell organization. His recently launched company is focused on HVAC contracting and consulting.
- Ruzwa Cooper, president, Buzz Oates Air Conditioning, Sacramento, CA. -- Cooper struck out on his own some years back, earned an MBA, and returned to the family HVAC business. He's now leading the commercial contracting company into the use of leading edge technologies. Not wanting to be on the "bleeding edge," Cooper shares a pragmatic approach to service diagnostics and the response he receives from commercial building owners.
- George Rodriguez, president, Serv Tec Air Conditioning, Monterrey Park, CA. Rodriguez has used service diagnostic tools in his commercial business for more than a year and will share his views on how valuable these tools can be for a contractor to really stand out from the crowd.
The panel will be a 60-minute interactive discussion. So if you are planning to come to this year's AHR Expo, make plans to stop in and participate.
