Founder and CEO Bill Dillard has re-acquired Orlando-based contracting and service provider, Mechanical Services, Inc. (MSI). The 30-year industry veteran sold the company in 1999 to GroupMac Corporation, which later became Encompass. Encompass, based in Houston, filed for Chapter 11 in November. MSI, with offices in Orlando and Clearwater, was founded by Dillard in 1974. Under his visionary leadership, MSI achieved national prominence in being named National Commercial Contractor of the Year in 1997 by Contracting Business Magazine. The purchase price was not disclosed.
