1992: This month, our special focus was on ammonia, “The 25-cent Solution.” There, we examined a unique window of opportunity for ammonia to become a viable refrigerant alternative for commercial air conditioning and refrigeration applications. Don Levangie of Shambaugh & Sons, Indianapolis, IN, explained how and why he's been designing and installing ammonia systems.
