Coastal Mechanical Names Three to Management Posts

oastal Mechanical Services, LLC, has promoted Nick Planin to vice president of operations. Jeff Turner is Coastal's new east coast branch manager. Ryon Abramski takes charge as project manager.

Coastal Mechanical Services, LLC — the Contracting Business.com magazine 2009 Commercial Contractor of the Year — has promoted Nick Planin to vice president of operations. He is operationally responsible for over $80 million in revenue and as many as 500 employees in 5 branches across Florida.

Planin's career at Coastal Mechanical begain in 2003, when he was hired as a senior project manager in the Tampa branch. He was quickly promoted to Tampa branch manager and was also responsible for overseeing operations at Coastal’s West Palm Beach branch.

Planin is a plumber by trade and holds a state of Florida certified plumbing, mechanical and general contracting license. He is currently pursuing his Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) certification. Planin was involved in the construction of many hospitals, schools and industrial projects which include The Brooksville Regional Medical Center; The Villages Hospital expansion.

Jeff Turner is Coastal Mechanical's new branch manager for East Coast projects. He is currently responsible for 100 employees in Brevard County Florida and the construction of Viera Hospital in Melbourne.

Ryon Abramski has been promoted to project manager. His primary project is Dr. P. Phillips Hospital (formerly Orlando Regional Sand Lake Hospital), Orlando, FL. Coastal Mechanical Services is among the first specialty contractors to achieve the United States Green Building Council's LEED® Accreditation.
