The NATE (North American Technician Excellence) Technical Committee recently held one of its semi-annual meetings at the Phoenix, AZ location of HVAC Learning Solutions.
During the five-day meeting, the committee members developed policies for NATE, discussed stricter standards for NATE testing organizations, and checked the certification test questions for validity, reliability, and defensibility.
NATE administered 21,000 core and specialty certification exams in 2004; the goal for 2005 is 25,000.
