The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) and the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI) recently co-sponsored a panel discussion, “The Future of Commercial Buildings and People Who Install Mechanical Systems.” The panel discussion, which was moderated by Contracting Business Editor-in-Chief Mike Murphy, was held during the concurrent AHR Expo and winter meeting of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). It discussed trends in commercial building delivers systems, indoor air quality issues, and problems contractors face in securing insurance. A summary was printed in CB last month (see CB, March 2003, p. 36). A complete transcript of the panel discussion may be found at www.contractingbusiness.com/buildingpanel.html.
